Welcome. My name is Andrew Leggett and I’m an Advanced Skills Teacher in English / Teaching and Learning. At present I work for Doncaster LEA in sunny South Yorkshire.
The aim of this blog is to share new ideas for teaching or to reflect on ideas in development.
Quick CV:
I have taught English, Drama, ICT, Media Studies and Mathematics (yes, maths) across a wide range of abilities and year groups in my career to date. I also have experience of delivering individual, departmental and whole school training and of leading an English department. My strengths include all aspects of teaching and learning, particularly in relation to those subjects mentioned above. I have also worked to support the teaching of Art, DT, Geography, History and Science.

All aspects of English teaching; assessment for learning; behaviour management; climate for learning; differentiation; ICT; interactive teaching; leading a department; learning styles; literacy; managing data; planning; raising boys achievement; and responding to students’ work.
